Stitch Details

Get in the habit of running your needle under a few stitches as you move from shape to shape. This will allow you to clip the threads that you may see through the white fabric from the front.

For beak, fill in with yellow and back stitch outline in orange.

For short green feathers, follow the angle of the pink wedge shape. then fill in each side and add small stitches in the center.

For the long green feathers, satin stitch down the length of the feather and then transition to a back stitch along the back curve. Repeat another row of backstitch to fill in if needed.

Fill in in the dark blue with rows of backstitch.
